Fourth arrest made in early 2023 homicide

The Vicksburg Police Department has made a fourth arrest in the January 2023 murder of 13-year-old Carleone Woodland.

On Friday, 17-year-old Demarcus Quinterious Wilson was arrested and charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

Woodland was shot and killed on Jan. 31, 2023, in the 800 block of Speed Street. Two other juveniles sustained injuries stemming from the shooting.

Shortly after the incident last year, 19-year-old Koury Demichael Lawrence, 15-year-old Phillip Lewis Moore, Jr., and 15-year-old Demetrius Lee Cormier were each arrested and also charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault at the time of the incident.

Wilson was arraigned by Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter, who set his bond at $3.5 million and bound him over to the Warren County Grand jury.
