New ERDC employees took part in a guided tour Tuesday, where escort Tracy Gordon led the group through learning sessions in the facility’s library, Coastal and Hydraulics Lab, Aquatic and Wetlands, Eco Systems R&D Center, Geotechnical and Structures Lab, and Information Technology Lab.

ERDC officials said tours are only held quarterly, so employees taking part in Tuesday’s guided event may already have several months of work under their belts at the Vicksburg location.

Tuesday’s tour, which featured presentations from ERDC’s Mike Harding, Jennifer Smith, Gary Bell, Dr. Bradley Sartain and his team, Dr. April Bowman and George Moncrief, also featured the center’s Emsworth Lock F&E System Model and a look at the centrifuge research center, among other areas of campus.
