Suspect sought in theft from Kay Jewelers

Vicksburg Police seek your help in identifying a suspect who is thought to have stolen jewelry worth $9,900 on Nov. 5 from Kay Jewelers, located at the Outlets at Vicksburg, 4000 S. Frontage Road, No. 109.

VPD Capt. Sandra Williams wrote in a press release issued Monday afternoon that the man entered the Kay Jewelry store at about 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, and stole a diamond ring and a necklace.

Williams said the man requested to look at the jewelry, telling the salesperson he was interested in purchasing jewelry for his wife. The suspect apparently identified himself at β€œRay.”

Williams said the man took the jewelry and ran from the store without paying.
