The boil water notice that was in effect for all customers who get their drinking water from 8235-12030 Freetown Road, 1567-2440 Birdsong Road, 72-500 Youngton Road, Venable Lane, Freeman Lane, Loredo Drive, Henry Lake Road, Walton Lane, Stockton Drive, Pennebaker Road, Nelson Road, Old Pettway Road and Willie Lane has been lifted.

Kadie Hearn, spokesperson for Culkin Water District, said this precautionary action was necessary because the system lost pressure due to a break in the water line and affected 143 households.

“When a water distribution system loses pressure, contaminants can siphon back into the system,” Hearn said in a press release. “Public health officials consider any system that has lost pressure contaminated until tests of the water prove otherwise.”
