Convenience store robbed at gunpoint

A lone gunman entered a convenience store in the 300 block of Goodrum Road Friday night and left with money and cigarettes, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

The robbery occurred about 10 p.m. Friday when a man dressed in a jogging suit with a bandanna across his face and carrying a semi-automatic handgun walked into the store and demanded money.

He took a small amount of money from the register, the cigarettes, and left the store on foot, Pace said.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 601-636-1761, or Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) or 1-866-481-8477. Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of the person in the robbery
