One being held in Tree House incident

Vicksburg police are holding a man for questioning after shots were reported fired inside the Tree House, 1837 Cherry St., early Saturday morning.

Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said the incident occurred about 12:09 a.m Saturday when someone fired 2-3 shots inside the building after an argument that occurred during a party. No one was wounded. He said no charges have been filed at this time,

He said a police department investigator breaking up another fight in the business’ parking lot heard the shots and called for assistance.

Mayor George Flaggs Jr. said the business has been closed until further notice until the owner can meet with him and Police Chief Milton Moore.
