Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Warren County grows

The Mississippi State Department of Health on Sunday announced 139 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,781. It also announced the number of virus-related deaths had grown to 96.

In Warren County, the number of confirmed cases has grown to 14.

Surrounding Warren County, Madison Parish, La., has two confirmed cases, Claiborne County has six confirmed cases, Sharkey has three, and Issaquena County is yet to record its first confirmed case.

In Hinds County, the number of confirmed cases is 247 with two virus-related deaths. Overall in Yazoo County, the state is reporting 63 confirmed cases of the virus, with one virus-related death.
