Three arrested after shots were fired downtown early Sunday morning
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, officers of the Vicksburg Police Department were dispatched to Jacques’ Bar, 1306 Washington Street, for a reported disturbance.
When officers arrived on the scene they learned that a fight had just taken place inside the bar that led to shots being fired outside on Washington Street. A concerned citizen provided video that showed a male subject taking a rifle from his vehicle and firing shots into the air. That video can be viewed here.
Arrested at the scene were:
Jacob Daniel Morgan, 30, of 3120 Mount Alban Road, Vicksburg. Morgan is charged with discharging a weapon within city limits, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and public drunkenness.
Morgan is currently being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
Hillary Anne Sellars, 31, also of 3120 Mount Alban Road, was arrested for disorderly conduct. She was released on bond.
Jeffrey James, 41, of 2972 Mount Alban Road, was arrested for disturbing the peace. James was also released on bond.
