Authorities identify Vicksburg man shot, killed early Thursday

Investigators with the Vicksburg Police Department report they have two persons of interest as they continue to collect information tied to a reported murder Thursday morning on Alfred Drive.

According to a release from the department, officers were dispatched to a home at 103 Alfred Drive, in the Hillcrest subdivision, for a reported shooting at around 3:20 a.m.

The victim, 26-year-old Andrew Prudhomme, was reportedly shot multiple times and died.

Thursday’s reported murder is Vicksburg’s fourth of the year. In 2019, Vicksburg reported three murders.
