The Vicksburg Police Department is asking the community’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery Saturday.
Just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the BG Junior convenience store on Clay Street for a report of an armed robbery.
Clerks told investigators a black male, dressed in all black with a black bandana covering his face, pointed a gun at them and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot with $170 stolen from the cash registers.
Anyone with information about the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511 or CrimeStoppers at 601-355-8477.
In another report, officers responded to Quality Inn Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in reference to a theft. The victim reported a female acquaintance stole a Hi-Point .380 pistol and a 9 mm Smith & Wesson from his room.
