Laptops stolen at Hinds CC

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information involving the Monday morning theft of laptop computers from the vocational technical center at the Hinds Community College Vicksburg campus.

Deputies were called about 8 a.m. Monday after employees reported someone broke into the building and several laptops were reported missing.

In other cases:

• A Yeti cooler, Rigid light bar, Honda push mower, Werner steel ladder, miscellaneous tools, first aid kit and a rack of shovels were reported taken Monday from a building in the 2200 block of Warrenton Road.

• Shots were reported fired about 9:45 p.m. at the park on Ken Karyl Avenue, nothing was found.

• Shots were reported fired about 11:36 p.m. Monday at Harrison and Court streets. Nothing was found.

• Phillip Lewis Moore, 36, 1513 First North St. was arrested Friday on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant charging him with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

• Cody Ashley, 27, 409 Silver Creek Drive, was arrested about 1:50 a.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance – cocaine.

• A 2011 Chevrolet was reported taken about 1:52 p.m. Friday from the 1000 block of Washington Street.

• A space heater and chicken wings were reported taken about 4 p.m. from an apartment at the Loft Apartments, 1301 Washington St.

• A 42-inch Polaroid TV, 50-inch Vizio smart TV, 20-inch Sony smart TV, a Bose sound bar, PlayStation 4, JVC sound system. Hwelitt-Packard laptop computer, 12-guage pump shotgun, 20-gauge shotgun, .410 shotgun, Craftsman tool box with tools and 10-15 fishing poles were reported taken about 6:20 p.m. Friday.

• Makeup, two bottles of prescription drugs and a pair of sunglasses, were reported taken about 10:32 a.m. Saturday from a car parked in the 1100 block of Main Street.
